NVIDIA — GeForce / RTX display driver
When blamed in a crash: Very likely the true cause
What to do
The NVIDIA display driver. When it appears in a crash, a clean driver reinstall fixes the majority of cases.
- Download the newest driver for your exact GPU from NVIDIA.
- Uninstall the current driver with DDU (Display Driver Uninstaller) in Safe Mode.
- Install the fresh driver; skip GeForce Experience if you don't need it.
- If the crash started right after a driver update, install the previous stable version instead.
Official download (the vendor's own site — never use third-party "driver download" sites):

Also check GPU overclocks (including factory OC under load) and temperatures if a clean driver doesn't cure it.
