NVIDIA — GeForce / RTX display driver

When blamed in a crash: Very likely the true cause

What to do

The NVIDIA display driver. When it appears in a crash, a clean driver reinstall fixes the majority of cases.

  1. Download the newest driver for your exact GPU from NVIDIA.
  2. Uninstall the current driver with DDU (Display Driver Uninstaller) in Safe Mode.
  3. Install the fresh driver; skip GeForce Experience if you don't need it.
  4. If the crash started right after a driver update, install the previous stable version instead.

Official download (the vendor's own site — never use third-party "driver download" sites):
https://www.nvidia.com/en-us/drivers/

Also check GPU overclocks (including factory OC under load) and temperatures if a clean driver doesn't cure it.
