STOP 0x0000007E

SYSTEM_THREAD_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED

A system worker thread hit an error nothing caught. The failing address usually identifies the driver responsible — GPU and network drivers lead the statistics.

Likely causes, most common first

How to fix it

1. Update or roll back the identified driver easy

  1. Update the named driver from the vendor's site (link in the driver card).
  2. If the crashes began right after a driver update, roll it back: Device Manager → device → Properties → Driver → Roll Back Driver.

2. Update GPU and network drivers easy

  1. Clean-install the newest GPU driver from NVIDIA/AMD/Intel.
  2. Update the Wi-Fi/Ethernet driver from your PC maker's support page.
  3. Run Windows Update including optional updates.
